That brings up another point, When this land is purchased, who will have their name on the title? We will need the services of a lawyer to divy up each plot of land to anons, or we are going to end up with a dictator owning all our land who can do whatever the fuck he wants to us.

Strongly depends on who we choose to represent us. If he is truly trustworthy, couldn't he freely split the land accordingly as people settle in and whatever land isn't yet taken would remain in his legal possession? Also prisons and other generally needed buildings could remain under him. Lawyers are a must regardless.

Because of the way how the bitcoin mining works, nowdays you either need to either have a very powerful computer to mine bitcoins alone, Or you need to be part of a mining alliance, Such as bitcoin.cz. For mining i recommend a program named RPC Miner. For mining in an alliance(bitcoin.cz) do the following:

1)Download bitcoin client
2)Create an account at the bitcoin.cz
3)Copypaste the recieving address from your bitcoin client to the bitcoin.cz profile
4)Download RPC Miner
5)Make a shortcut for the RPC miner CPU program and put in the following settings:

...\rpcminer-cpu.exe -user=<username> -password=<password> -url=api2.bitcoin.cz:8332 -workrefreshms=20000

6)Double click the shortcut
7)Let the program do its magic
???
9)Profit!

That's actually very smart man! Uncle Sam always needs more jobs. Computer support centers, radio towers, basically any support center, that seems like the easiest and most profitable way to make money as well. Especially things involving computers.

Fresh water is readily available, we are pretty much smashed in between a nature reserve and the badlands, if we use it for irrigation, we can have plenty for drinking as well.

As for farming, the soil in which the property sets is fairly fertile (from what I've checked on), but with the droughts happening often, we'll need water to make it more fertile. The only reason the badlands are infertile is the land is pretty much a desert, no nutrients in the soil, and no water, both of which can be solved in the future.

As for making money from uncle sam, I've got plenty of experience in setting up network centers, one major issue, internet is available, but only in Satellite, mobile, or dial up, this can be solved if we pitch in for a t1 line or better, if we add a minor amount of taxes for the internet, we actually could have free internet city-wide, as well as a very high speed network center.
