Re: Ideas for subforums?
Getting the Land: Discussing where we will go and exactly how much money we will need. That land will probably get sold before we get the funds to buy it, so we will need to consider alternatives.
Contributions: Post in this forum how we all can contribute to the construction and maintenance of the town once we get it
that's all i can think of at the moment.

Finding lawyers, other outside sources essential to actually buying the land.
EDIT: Also, a sticky, locked site that lists all of the essential links like our bitcoin link, and an official site link when it's made.

Re: Ideas for subforums?
repost from the what i'd like to see in the forum thread.
I'd like a locked subforum where a mod or two could compile some of the information we've all pretty much agreed upon.
I've just joined and so far am having a bit of a tough time catching up with the plans everyone has. If we had a subforum (named "Recap" or "Plan so Far") with at least a single locked sticky to keep track of everything, it would be far easier for newer members (aka potential donations) to catch up. The easier we make it for people, the more people would get involved.
It would also cut down on multiple posts about the same ideas and arguments. We vote and agree on a topic (ex. alternative energy, what kind ect.) and the mod locks it and sets it in stone.
The way I see it, this is a bold and challenging vision. If we're stuck talking about the same thing over and over, we're not going to get anywhere.
If someone comes along at a later date and wishes to reopen an older topic with a fresh idea, we could have a petition sticky that remains unlocked. They could post there with the topic they wish to edit and their new idea and we could either vote to reopen it or leave it up to a mod to decide. Either way, grand ideas need structure to become anything more than ideas.

I added a plans so far, category. I will add your other ideas at a later time when this gets more organized.
Thanks for your input!

If farming is a subforum then entertainment should be one aswell
Watching plants grow isn't as much fun as it cracks out to be, what will we do day to day?

probably work. the infrastructure isn't that good, the plants will need tending, and there are nowhere near enough buildings to house the prospective number of people over the winter.
although, entertainment would be nice. start a thread about who can do what?

I'll start an entertainment forum as well.
Thanks for the input!
