how much would it cost to hire a professional to do the banking for us? to set up a REAL account with the same properties as the ones with donor and fund caps? like, if we don't reach the goal and/or the land sells and we'd rather not relocate, it's all refunded, and the money can only be used to purchase land for the purpose of a settlement of sorts. obviously i don't know the terminology, but i'm sure it's doable.

Say we're trying to create a self sustaining town, that will have its own energy sources, food production, and entertainment.
Say if this works it could change the future of towns in the US, it could help us get out of debt if more towns were like this.

Outside of government grants there are also private investments. Google has a shitload of money and they're always looking to spend it on innovative ideas. GoldenPalace.com is known for spending money just to generate publicity.

I would think it'd be possible to finance the entire town if we were willing to drink at the GoldenPalace.com Saloon.

Ok, underage fag here. I'm upper middle class so I don't need to buy my own groceries or how ever poor kids grow up. I know me and my little group of btard friends would love to see this go through sence we have all been lurking for 2-3 years now. So if you guys actually get going with accounts and shitxme and my 4-5 friends will all spread the word and donate as much as possible. Remember the underage fags don't have lots for cash but there are lots of them willing throw $10 $20 or $100 at somthing like this.

A self-sustaining city is by far and away our best course of action. Not only will it put us in line for grants, it will actually make the sustainability of the project a reality, not to mention generate a lot of hype in the media which = profit.

If the self-sustaining/alternative energy idea was the basis, there are tons of people who would love to come visit the town at a hotel with a "visitors" package that included a tour and a way to get hands on with the town's process for a few days to a week. This could be a decent source of income, especially initially when it is still a curiosity.

Doesn't Google like to make Google towns and shit? We put up some billboards and they give a shitton of money? I'll look into that and report back with my findings.
