Setting the record straight about Biofuel
A lot of people have been talking about alternative energies for one reason or another,
Just want to set the record straight with exactly why Biofuel is not a logical and sustainable option:
Would you rather put effort into feeding your car, or feeding you?
Biofuel basically amounts to growing an unreasonable amount of inedible food, wasting land and time for a very poor yield.
Biofuel becomes an easier task to accomplish the smaller the scale, but I'm favor of finding other ways to fuel our cars before it becomes an issue.

Re: Setting the record straight about Biofuel
Biofuels work in a way, my friends farm operates on biofuel, problem with it though is it's octane rating and the fact that it's purely used in diesel engines. As well soybeans are the best crop for biofuels, yet you need to grow a copious amount of it to actually produce enough fuel
Re: Setting the record straight about Biofuel
Exactly. And what would you rather do? Grow soybeans for your car, or use that land and effort to grow food for your belly? We should look into the exact figures to see how much land it takes to make one gallon of biofuel. I bet the number would shock everyone.
Also, there apparently seems to be some issues with algea, in regards to how much energy it is physically able to produce, but that seems all to be a big-scale issue.

It's disgusting how much of the crop is wasted man

To see the full image with the actual values of gallons per acre, please see:

Re: Setting the record straight about Biofuel
Then don't use bio-fuels use electric cars solar energy and wind energy would be plentiful and is a constant source unlike bio-fuel which would have to grow seasonably.
