alternative energy
seing as many of the people that want this town to get started want canabis to be legalised, and many of them know how to grow it, i figured it would be a good idea to make biofuel made from hemp.
what do you think?
also what kind of alternative energy should be used in the town
oh yeah link to how to hemp fuel http://www.hemp.com/hemp-university/uses-of-hemp/hemp-fuel/making-hemp-biodiesel/

Breckenridge, CO has legalized marijuana locally.

That doesn't mean you can grow it locally.
There are so many problems with biofuel as an energy source, I can go on about it for hours, but the gist of the issue is that we hardly have enough viable earth to grow the food to feed ourselves, let alone the food to feed our cars.
Besides that, hemp is straight up illegal. just because we're our own town doesn't mean we can give the law the middle finger and grow it.
I think all this talk about growing cannabis is not making our likelihood of getting a grant any better.

Re: alternative energy
I actually know of a way to power each and every house using materials that are impervious to EMP strikes, solar disruption and the elements. You take a windmill, a rear axle of a domestic truck and a generator. Windmill turns the axle which cranks the generator and powers the domicile. We've built 46 of these over here in OK, it works quite well, needs no fuel, just wind power!

Re: alternative energy
add windturbine to car
windturbine rotate when the car moves
infinite fuel
???
profit

quite possibly yes!
Re: alternative energy
That sounds epic, this could be a cheap early version of a wind farm.FluffySheepz wrote:cherokeeroodypoo wrote:I actually know of a way to power each and every house using materials that are impervious to EMP strikes, solar disruption and the elements. It really is, it's not complicated at all, it's easier to build and it's stuff we can make without extensive engineering knowledge

I nearly bought an earth ship. I know the guy who started the whole thing- well maybe not started it but he got the movement on it's feet. Was even invited to his place in New Mexico "Angel's Nest" a couple of times. It should work there. And in the winter they would be warm. Building them can be done in a days time with help from everyone.. If done right. You can also grow in each of them.
