Stock Based Ownership
Everyone understands this will be a nearly unprecedented and difficult task, I believe we'll be able to do it, if everyone doesn't get bored after just a day.
Here is my proposal, there will have to be some sort of authority and management if we want to get anywhere, but dividing power isn't always easy, so I'm proposing a stock based system. Here is the twist, you don't just buy stock with your donation, your overall assistance to the project and community also earns you an amount of stock.
Think of it this way, by donating a certain amount of money, you gain an amount of voice in our "company", but if you donate a service or skill, it can be substituted for an amount of stock, if you bring in legal skills, then you have a skill that is highly beneficial, meaning that you have a stock amount that is reflective of your knowledge.
All decisions should be divided up in certain categories, allowing those with experience more control over them.
Some potential ideas:
Income Control
Income Procurement
Litigation
Architecture
Town Management
Technology
Grants
etc

Re: Stock Based Ownership
Sounds like an amazing idea. We start with 1 million stocks. Sell them for 1 dollar each to begin. They are akin to ownership of the town/administration

I'm not so sure how that would work out.
We could end up with people having a lot of stock how should not have power. This could work initially but we will need a town council system if we plan to last beyond a few months.

I'm insanely against this idea, this will set us up for the rich get richer, they have the power, so basically it's what we have in this country now lol
Re: Stock Based Ownership
If this did happen. And I bought the town. I could assure you I wouldn't give a shit.
I don't want any control over the place. Only to see this through.

I in turn would have no problem, however knowing how most people act they never buy into something without thinking "what's in it for me" and for that reason alone it's hard to trust having one person put in a shit ton of money and then sitting back. They are either a very honest person who really cares for others and wants to see this work or they are a fucking cunt who will in turn destroy what we have achieved lol

Dude trust me I really just think it would be amazing to see something like this come together. It has nothing to do with being a good person or wanting control. It has everything to do with me being bored as fuck with everyday life right now. I won't be traveling for an other couple of months and until then I don't really have much to do. This would be an amazing long term project I can dedicate myself too, and in the end when it comes about I can walk away and not worry about it. Less worries = better life.

I think we all are in the same category bro. I know I am bored with life, it's so fucking mundane. I'm the governments bitch because I'm a taxpayer, I'm their bitch because I work for them, they are everyone elses bitch because we are in a cesspool of debt. I can't stay in one place for too long but the double edge of that sword is I can't be too far away from my culture. The positive side of this is that the Pine Ridge Reservation is 6 miles away and I have friends out there so I can go out there and get my ndn fix lol.
Re: Stock Based Ownership
i'm going to probably be the resident nay sayer on here but heres the problem with this:
You make town leadership as stock, then the richest anon wins?
Seriously for example i buy 300,000 stock out of 1 million
i have 3/10ths of the say in town and then i could start causeing hell and havoc because i can.
I think personally since this town is going to be Anon Central, it in a true Anon fashion should be a pure Democratic rule, where everyone has a vote in all issues and majority wins.
this way we can't have a monarchy of the minority and retards running the everything.

I agree! Please no stock-based ownership.
Also, Pine Ridge? Officially the poorest place in America, Pine Ridge?

Yes that pine ridge, the same pine ridge where the American Indian Movement had a fuck you government rally after being escorted and prosecuted for taking over Alcatraz Island and then had a standoff with the feds and army at pine ridge, killed 3 FBI agents and yadda. Yep it would be that pine ridge lol, good thing about it is I have a few friends out there!
That's why you always need a token indianfag with yall lol

Re: Stock Based Ownership
lurkers gonna lurk >_>
the stock kinda seems like a good idea but alot of effort goes into divided it up fiscally and spreading out shares through plausibly hundreds of individules Accurately on short notice.
its something that will, as with the town take careful planning and skill. But we have quite a bit of time to work things out from now to then

So How does this get started? We need someone with initiative. It would be me. But I'm underage with no money. The hardest part is that first step. *looks around*

You are really far behind.
We're pretty close to getting this started.

And my point was that larry needn't be saying that some one needs to get on top of things and have some initiative when we already have plenty of fine people doing just that.
Things just don't magically happen when you want them to, they need time and work.
Now unless you already have a reliable system in place to set up secure donations linked to a bank account of a person we can trust then quit your bitching.
